Tahoe Adventure Company Outdoor Education Programs are designed specifically to complement students' classroom studies. With our extensive background in Wilderness and Experiential Education, TAC is able to create custom programming specifically for each camp or school. The power and effectiveness of Outdoor and Environmental Education is well established and, in our opinion, an extremely important component of a child's growth and understanding of the world. This hands-on approach to learning reinforces classroom lessons and allows students to experience the world they are learning about. Experiential Education creates lasting impressions and promotes a strong connection to the natural world.Tahoe Adventure Company Outdoor Education Programs are custom designed for each school. I booked one of your guided Thunderbird Lodge Kayak Tours on July 20th. From Stephanie who took my reservation to Robin who was our guide- I was extremely impressed by your staff.
My daughter and I would not have had such a great experience without Robin. She truly made my first kayaking adventure a memorable one. My daughter, who has more experience than I in regards to kayaking, was impressed with Robin's know-how and great personality.

"We recently went to Lake Tahoe for R&R. I love to hike and decide to hire a guide for one day. Tahoe Adventure Company was wonderful their customer service and guides are very professional. Our guide Robin new about all the flowers, trees, wildlife and brought a book so we could look up flowers, fish, trees and more. She even brought a picnic along for the day! I would recommend Tahoe Adventure Company for anyone interested in hiking, and water activities. "We rented a tandem kayak from Tahoe Adventure Company. The rental was quick and easy. You walk up and scan the QR code on your phone, fill out the waiver on your phone and send it in. They have large and small dry bags for rent for $5. We took the large one, which fit our towels, our picnic lunch, and a number of other things that we didn't want to get wet. The kayaking itself was great! After leaving, we headed left approx. an hour to the rocky area, which was nice to explore. We found a rock near enough to shore that we could easily get out of the kayak to swim and then sit on the rock to eat lunch before heading back. Overall trip was 3 hours and the scenery was beautiful (in spite of the haze due to the wildfires around CA). We would definitely do this again." -Katie G.

"We had a fantastic sunset snow shoe tour with Eric and Michelle today. They were fun and very knowledgeable about snow shoeing, the trail, the area and the plants and animals of the area both past and present. It was a three hour tour at a good pace (we definitely got our workout in). I would totally go on another tour with them. "We went on two trips with Tahoe Adventure Company: a sunset kayak trip, and a rock climbing trip. They were both superb. The guide for the kayak trip was knowledgeable and fun. The rock climbing guide, Chris Baumann, was outstanding. We have been on several other rock climbing trips, and Chris was hands down the best guide we have had (and we liked the others.) His relaxed, low-key approach was great for our group, but at the same time he was obviously very safety oriented. One of the members of our group, a 4th grader, became very frightened about halfway up the rock face. Without any fuss or drama, Chris mounted a rescue, and his cheerful, encouraging approach soon had the boy climbing again, with great enjoyment. We all had a great day" -Rachel P.
